Wind Power Systems 2010 (6 days) [CATWPS10]

Wind turbine generators at CAT range from a 50W Marlec to a 500kW Nordtank machine and include a community owned 75kW Vestas turbine.

Topics covered include stand-alone and grid connected systems, wind analysis and turbine siting, generators, rotor design and speed control.

This course is aimed at engineers, planners, system specifiers and architects amongst others.

The participants will join students on modules of our MSc Renewable Energy and the Built Environment and will gain a comprehensive overview of the subject in theoretical and workshop sessions.
